NPL 2025: Sudurpaschim set 194-run target for Pokhara



KATHMANDU: Sudurpaschim Royals have posted a competitive total of 193 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs in their match against Pokhara Avengers in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2025.

In the match being played under floodlights at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Sudurpaschim built a strong total thanks to a brilliant 68 off 35 balls from opener Josh Brown, whose innings included 6 fours and 3 sixes. His opening partner Binod Bhandari added a steady 43 runs off 42 balls.

Similarly, Chris Lynn contributed 31 runs, while captain Dipendra Singh Airee scored 15. For Pokhara, who opted to bowl first after winning the toss, New Zealander James Neesham claimed 3 wickets, while Aakash Chand and Dan Douthwaite picked up 2 wickets each.

This is the second match for both teams in the second season of the NPL. Sudurpaschim have already secured 2 points with a win in their opening game, while Pokhara remain pointless, having lost their first match of the franchise-based tournament.
