Rest assured, elections will be held on scheduled date: Minister Ghising



JANAKPURDHAM: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Kulman Ghising has affirmed that the election for members of the House of Representatives will take place on the announced date.

Speaking briefly to journalists in Janakpurdham today, he urged the public to remain confident, stating that the government is committed and actively preparing for the election. He said that the environment necessary for the election scheduled for March 5, 2026 is taking shape and that people are enthusiastic about the upcoming polls.

Minister Ghising emphasized that the government is making full efforts to ensure the election proceeds smoothly and called on everyone to extend their support. He stated that the army could be mobilized if necessary to maintain peace and security during the election, urging people not to doubt the election’s timing due to minor disputes.

Minister Ghising, who arrived in Janakpurdham to oversee preparations for the Shri Sitaram Bibaha Panchami festival and to visit the Janaki Temple, was welcomed by the temple’s successor, Mahanta Ramroshan Das Baishnav.

He was accompanied by Minister for Youth and Sports Bablu Gupta, who also visited the Janaki Temple and offered prayers.
