KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the official foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been fixed at NPR 140.39, while the selling rate is NPR 140.99.
The buying rate for one Euro is NPR 163.60 and the selling rate is NPR 164.30. Similarly, the buying rate for one UK Pound Sterling is NPR 188.27 and the selling rate is NPR 189.07. The Swiss Franc is being bought at NPR 177.08 and sold at NPR 177.84.
The Australian Dollar is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 91.11 and a selling rate of NPR 91.50. The Canadian Dollar’s buying rate is NPR 100.05 and the selling rate is NPR 100.47. The Singapore Dollar is being bought at NPR 108.44 and sold at NPR 108.90.
For other currencies, the buying rate of 10 Japanese Yen is NPR 9.32 and the selling rate is NPR 9.36. The Chinese Yuan is being bought at NPR 19.71 and sold at NPR 19.80. The Saudi Arabian Riyal is trading at NPR 37.43 (buying) and NPR 37.59 (selling), while the Qatari Riyal stands at NPR 38.51 (buying) and NPR 38.68 (selling).
According to the central bank, the Thai Baht is being bought at NPR 4.29 and sold at NPR 4.31. The UAE Dirham is trading at NPR 38.22 (buying) and NPR 38.39 (selling). The Malaysian Ringgit is at NPR 33.22 (buying) and NPR 33.36 (selling).
The rate for 100 South Korean Won is NPR 9.87 (buying) and NPR 9.91 (selling). The Swedish Krona is being traded at NPR 14.89 (buying) and NPR 14.95 (selling), while the Danish Krone is at NPR 21.91 (buying) and NPR 22.22 (selling).
Furthermore, the Hong Kong Dollar has a buying rate of NPR 18.07 and a selling rate of NPR 18.15. The Kuwaiti Dinar is being bought at NPR 458.76 and sold at NPR 460.72. The Bahraini Dinar is at NPR 372.41 (buying) and NPR 374.00 (selling), and the Omani Rial is being bought at NPR 364.64 and sold at NPR 366.19.
Additionally, the exchange rate for 100 Indian Rupees is NPR 160.00 (buying) and NPR 160.15 (selling).
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates are subject to revision as needed. It also noted that commercial banks may offer slightly different rates, and the latest updates can be found on the central bank’s official website.
