Heavy rainfall likely in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has predicted generally cloudy conditions in the hilly regions of the country, while other areas are likely to remain partly cloudy. Moderate rainfall is expected at one or two locations in both the hilly and Tarai regions this afternoon.

Tonight, moderate rainfall is likely in some areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Additionally, one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are forecast to receive heavy rainfall, according to the Division.

Given the ongoing monsoon, the Division has urged the public to remain alert and take necessary precautionary measures. There is a possibility of swollen rivers and increased risk of landslides and debris flows in the hilly regions.
