Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the official foreign exchange rates for today (Monday).

While the exchange rates of some currencies, including the US dollar, have remained stable, most foreign currencies such as the Australian dollar, euro, pound sterling, and Kuwaiti dinar have seen a decline in value. In contrast, the Bahraini dinar has appreciated slightly, according to the central bank.

Today, the buying rate of one US dollar stands at NPR 137.54, while the selling rate is NPR 138.14. These rates remain unchanged from yesterday.

The euro is being traded today at a buying rate of NPR 159.90 and a selling rate of NPR 160.60. This marks a slight decrease from yesterday’s rates of NPR 160.13 for buying and NPR 160.83 for selling.

Similarly, the pound sterling has also declined, with today’s buying rate at NPR 184.42 and the selling rate at NPR 185.23, compared to yesterday’s rates of NPR 185.05 and NPR 185.86, respectively.

The Australian dollar has weakened as well. Today’s buying rate is NPR 89.54 and the selling rate is NPR 89.93, slightly down from yesterday’s NPR 89.71 for buying and NPR 90.10 for selling.

The Kuwaiti dinar follows the same trend, with today’s buying rate at NPR 449.83 and selling rate at NPR 451.79, compared to yesterday’s NPR 450.15 and NPR 452.12.

On the other hand, the Bahraini dinar has recorded a slight increase. The buying rate today is NPR 364.83 and the selling rate is NPR 366.42, up from yesterday’s rates of NPR 364.80 and NPR 366.39.

Nepal Rastra Bank has noted that these exchange rates are subject to change as needed. It also stated that the rates offered by commercial banks may differ from the official rates, and the latest updates can be found on the central bank’s official website.
