KATHMANDU: Lawmakers from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) once again obstructed proceedings in Parliament on Saturday, reiterating their demand for the formation of a parliamentary probe committee to investigate the visit visa scandal.
Speaking during the session, RSP lawmaker Sumana Shrestha said their protest aimed to amplify the voices of Nepali citizens who were trafficked abroad under the guise of visit visas.
Meanwhile, RPP lawmaker Roshan Karki demanded the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, holding him politically accountable for the scandal.
The two parties have consistently called for an impartial investigation into the alleged abuse of visit visas that has reportedly led to human trafficking, with claims of negligence and complicity from government officials.
