KATHMANDU: Dr. Biswo Nath Poudel has officially taken charge as the new Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) after being sworn in on Wednesday.
He took the oath of office and secrecy before Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut, as required by the constitution for the appointment of the central bank governor.
Following the swearing-in, Dr. Poudel headed to the central bank to formally assume his duties.
He was appointed as the 18th Governor of NRB by the government during a Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday.
