Five Parliamentary Committees to meet today



KATHMANDU: Five committees under the Federal Parliament are scheduled to meet today at Singha Durbar.

The committees include the Finance Committee; Women and Social Affairs Committee; Infrastructure Development Committee; Education, Health and Information Technology Committee; and the Public Accounts Committee.

The Women and Social Affairs Committee will convene today morning, with the agenda to present reports prepared by two subcommittees.

The Infrastructure Development Committee is set to meet at 8:30 AM to hold a clause-wise discussion on the Electricity Bill, 2080, along with proposed amendments.

The Finance Committee will meet at 11:00 AM to consult subject experts and stakeholders on the First Amendment Bill on Banks and Financial Institutions, 2080.

The Public Accounts Committee will review the report submitted by the Pokhara Regional International Airport Field Study Subcommittee.

Additionally, the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee will meet at 2:00 PM to discuss the subcommittee report on the School Education Bill, 2080.
