Scattered showers expected across central and western hills



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that the country is currently under the influence of local and westerly winds, along with a low-pressure system centered near Bihar.

As per the division, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces are experiencing partly to generally cloudy conditions, while other regions remain mostly clear to partly cloudy. Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning has been reported in several areas across these provinces.

By this afternoon, hilly areas—especially in Koshi Province—are expected to stay partly to mostly cloudy, with other parts of the country likely to see clearer skies with occasional clouds.

Scattered showers with thunder and lightning are forecast in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with chances of light rain in a few locations across other hilly regions as well.

Tonight, partly to generally cloudy conditions will persist in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali, while the remaining parts of the country are expected to have mostly clear to partly cloudy skies.
