Tender of contractors failing to timely deliver will be terminated: Minister Ghising



CHITWAN: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Kulman Ghising, who also holds the portfolio of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and Urban Development, said that the government will terminate the contracts of construction companies failing to deliver on time.

Addressing an interaction programme organised by the Chitwan Chamber of Commerce and Industry here today, the Minister said that there are over three thousand road and bridge contracts, and in some cases, the contractors remain unidentified.

He clarified that in such situations, the government is left with no option but to either ensure the work or terminate the contracts.

Talking about the upcoming election scheduled for March 5, 2026, the Minister said that the government to be formed after the election should bring in new faces with new visions capable of leading the country towards prosperity and bringing substantive transformation to the nation.
