TU says no one authorized to collect parking fees during NPL matches

KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan University (TU) has said it has not authorized anyone to collect parking fees from spectators attending Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket matches.

Issuing a notice on Thursday, TU stated that it had taken serious note of reports that spectators’ vehicles were being charged for parking on university land around the stadium during matches organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).

TU clarified that it has not signed any agreement with any individual, group, or organization regarding paid parking. The notice further said that no permission has been granted for such fee collection and asked all concerned to take note of this clarification.
