Inmate who escaped from Central Jail during Gen-Z protest arrested



HETAUDA: An inmate who escaped from Kathmandu’s Central Jail during the Gen-Z protests has been arrested by Makwanpur Police.

A police team from the Palung Area Police Office arrested 32-year-old Bhupendra Basnet of Thaha Municipality-9, Basnet Tole, who had fled the Central Jail in Sundhara on September 9 amid the nationwide Gen-Z demonstrations.

According to the District Police Office, Makwanpur, Basnet has now been handed over to the Bhimphedi Prison for further legal process.
