Sudurpaschim government provides Rs 200,000 to Bipin Joshi’s family



SUDURPASCHIM: The Sudurpaschim provincial government has decided to provide Rs 200,000 in assistance to the family of Bipin Joshi from Kanchanpur, who was killed in the Hamas attack in Israel.

Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah said the amount is being provided as humanitarian support. Earlier, the provincial Cabinet had decided to provide Rs 200,000 each to the families of those killed in the Hamas attack.

According to Shah, financial support has already been provided to seven families, and Joshi’s family will now receive the same assistance.

Two years ago, Joshi had gone to Israel under the ‘Learn and Earn’ internship program after completing his bachelor’s degree in agricultural science from Sudurpaschim University. He was among ten Nepali students caught in the Hamas attack.

Chief Minister Shah expressed his condolences to the bereaved family and paid tribute to the late Joshi. Meanwhile, Joshi’s body was brought to Dhangadhi Airport on a Nepali Army Sky Truck on Monday evening and taken to his home district, Kanchanpur.
