Motorcyclist killed after truck collision in Kavrepalanchowk



KATHMANDU: A motorcyclist was killed after being struck by a truck near Keraghari, Panchkhal Municipality-5, along the Araniko Highway on Tuesday.

The victim has been identified as Rupesh Kharel, 35, a resident of Chaurideurali Rural Municipality. Police said Kharel sustained severe injuries when he attempted to overtake the truck bound for Panchkhal.

He was immediately rushed to Dhulikhel Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

Police have taken truck driver Madhav Kumar Badal into custody, while the vehicle has been impounded for further investigation, according to the Area Police Office, Panchkhal.
