Top End T20 Series: Nepal to face Melbourne Renegades today



KATHMANDU: Nepal is set to play its fifth match in the ongoing Top End T20 Series in Australia’s Northern Territory on Wednesday. The team will take on the Melbourne Renegades Academy at 11:15 AM (Nepal time).

So far, Nepal has played four matches in the series, winning one and losing three. The team lost its opening match to Northern Territory Strike by 42 runs, followed by a 32-run loss to Bangladesh ‘A’ and a 31-run defeat to the Melbourne Stars.

However, Nepal bounced back with a commanding 66-run victory over the Hobart Hurricanes Academy on Tuesday.

Currently, Nepal sits ninth out of 11 teams on the points table and is under pressure to secure a win in today’s match. Melbourne Renegades Academy, having played only three matches, has two wins and one loss, placing them fifth with four points.

Nepal will play its final match of the series against Pakistan Shaheens on Friday.
