One dead from electrocution in Okhaldhunga



OKHALDHUNGA: A man died on the spot after being electrocuted in Kuibhir, Chisankhugadhi Rural Municipality-1, Okhaldhunga last night.

According to police, Chandra Rai of Solukhumbu, aged around 30, died at around 10 p.m. on Shrawan 3. Rai, a resident of Nechasalyan Rural Municipality-4, was staying at his aunt Chandramaya Rai’s house while en route to Diktel in Khotang.

He was reportedly electrocuted while handling an MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker) switch following heavy rain and a thunderstorm.

The District Police Office said further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
