Fire breaks out at grocery store in Jhapukuna, Humla



HUMLA: A fire has gutted a grocery store in Jhapukuna, Sarkegad Rural Municipality-4, Humla district. The zinc-roofed shop, owned by Mandev Shahi, was destroyed in the blaze early this morning, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Shankar Pokharel of the District Police Office.

The fire consumed goods including groceries, stationery, clothing, petrol, and other supplies. It was brought under control with the joint efforts of local residents and a police team from Sarkegad.

Authorities have yet to determine the exact extent of the damage.
