Woman found dead days after giving birth in Kailali



KAILALI: A woman who recently gave birth was found dead near her home in Kailashpur, Gauriganga Municipality-7.

The deceased has been identified as 19-year-old Tulsi Nath, a local resident. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rajkumar Singh, spokesperson for the District Police Office, an investigation into the incident is currently underway.

DSP Ran Bahadur Chand of the Area Police Office, Malakheti, who reached the scene, confirmed that Nath was discovered in a drain just outside the main gate of her house.

Her 16-day-old son was found alive at the scene and has since been rescued, he said.

The circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear, and authorities have not ruled out foul play.
