RPP demands immediate release of Chair Lingden and other leaders



KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has demanded the immediate release of its chairperson Rajendra Lingden and other leaders, who were arrested while on their way to participate in a peaceful protest.

According to the party, Lingden, along with senior vice-chair Buddhi Man Tamang and spokesperson Gyanendra Shahi, was detained by security personnel inside the Singha Durbar premises.

The leaders were walking from the party’s parliamentary office toward the protest venue at Bijuli Bazaar after concluding an internal meeting.

The RPP made the demand for their release through its official Facebook page.
