Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the foreign exchange rates for today (Thursday), showing a decline in the value of major currencies, including the US dollar, Australian dollar, euro, pound sterling, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar.

This follows a similar trend from yesterday when these currencies also saw a drop.

Today, the buying rate for 1 US dollar is set at NPR 138.02, while the selling rate stands at NPR 138.62. Yesterday, the buying and selling rates were NPR 138.22 and NPR 138.82, respectively.

Similarly, the exchange rate for 1 euro has dropped to NPR 150.44 for buying and NPR 151.10 for selling, compared to yesterday’s rates of NPR 151.12 and NPR 151.78.

The British pound has also depreciated, with today’s buying rate at NPR 178.99 and the selling rate at NPR 179.77, whereas yesterday, the rates were NPR 179.49 and NPR 180.27.

The Australian dollar follows the same downward trend, with a buying rate of NPR 87.39 and a selling rate of NPR 87.77, down from yesterday’s NPR 88.05 and NPR 88.43.

The Kuwaiti dinar and Bahraini dinar have also recorded slight declines. Today, the Kuwaiti dinar stands at NPR 448.04 for buying and NPR 449.99 for selling, compared to yesterday’s NPR 448.81 and NPR 450.76.

Likewise, the Bahraini dinar’s buying and selling rates have fallen to NPR 366.11 and NPR 367.70, respectively, from yesterday’s NPR 366.64 and NPR 368.23.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as needed.

Additionally, commercial banks may set slightly different rates, and the latest updates can be found on the central bank’s official website.
