Nepali Embassy in Kuwait encourages workers to join Social Security Fund

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Embassy in Kuwait has called on Nepali workers to actively participate in the Social Security Fund initiative introduced by the government.

During an interaction program titled ‘Financial Awareness and Safe Remittance Flow’, the embassy aimed to raise awareness on key issues, including financial literacy, remittance practices, and the benefits of the Social Security Fund.

Ambassador Ghanashyam Lamsal highlighted the importance of equipping Nepali workers with financial knowledge. He stressed the need to explain the significance of financial awareness and social security programs in a clear and accessible manner to encourage participation.

Participants discussed various topics such as remittance trends, safe methods of transferring money to Nepal, and strategies for enhancing the effectiveness of the Social Security Fund.

They also expressed their gratitude to the embassy for initiating discussions on financial awareness and worker welfare.

The event was attended by Nepali professionals from Kuwait’s financial sector and embassy officials, reinforcing the collaborative effort to improve financial literacy and social security engagement among Nepali workers abroad.
