PM Karki to hold talks with political parties on Tuesday

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has called a meeting of political parties represented in the parliament to discuss election-related matters.

According to Ajaya Bhadra Khanal, a member of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, October 21.

Khanal told Khabarhub that formal letters have been sent today to all national and parliamentary parties, requesting each to send two representatives for the discussion.

“We have called the parties for dialogue on Tuesday and sent out the invitation letters,” he said. “The first round of talks will be held with national and parliamentary parties.”

Earlier, several parties had criticized Prime Minister Karki for announcing the election date without prior consultation. Sources close to the Prime Minister said Khanal has been assigned to coordinate communication with the parties.
