KAHTMANDU: The Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund (PIRF), established by the government for rebuilding physical structures damaged during the Gen-Z protests on September 8 and 9, has received a total of Rs 61 million so far.
According to Finance Ministry Spokesperson Tanka Prasad Pandey, Rs 61 million had been deposited in the fund as of this morning.
The government had appealed to the general public, private sector, Non-Resident Nepalis, development partners, and donor agencies to contribute to the fund.
A dedicated bank account has been opened at the Singha Durbar branch of Rastriya Banijya Bank for this purpose. Contributions can be made to account number 1960102070004. The Finance Ministry also informed that preparations are underway to publish the list of contributors.
