National Assembly meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the National Assembly is scheduled to take place today at 1:15 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

The meeting will include a question-and-answer session, where the concerned minister will respond to oral questions related to the Ministry of Urban Development, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

During the session, Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee Chairman Maya Prasad Sharma is expected to present the ‘Study Report on Policy Issues Related to National Parks, 2082’ to the assembly.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, is also slated to present a proposal to consider the ‘Social Network Bill, 2081,’ according to Padya Prasad Pandey, General Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

In addition, meetings of the Finance Committee and the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee are also being held today. The Finance Committee will discuss the draft report of the ‘Bill to Make Arrangements Regarding the Mobilization of Alternative Development Finance.’

Meanwhile, the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee will hold a clause-wise discussion on the ‘Nepal Legal Practitioners Council (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081.’
