KAILALI: The Davhariya Botanical Garden at Dhangadhi imparted training along with distribution of medicinal herbs to farmers.

Total 81,242 samplings of medicinal herbs were distributed in the fiscal year 2024/25 to farmers willing to involve in herb farming in a commercial, said Chief of the Centre, Ganga Dutta Bhatta.

The Centre has a target of producing 50,000 saplings of medicinal herbs annually.

However, it has been distributing more plants than the production target, he added.

It has been distributing the valuable plants every year, following certain criteria. The training is imparted to the farmers to help them expand farming in Sudurpaschim Province.

Chief Bhatta added that herb farming related training was imparted to 54 people—25 in Chure rural municipality-4 and 29 in Chure rural municipality-3 of Kailali district last year.
