KATHMANDU: The Kanti Lokpath road connecting Hetauda and Kathmandu has been obstructed after a diversion near the Bagmati Bridge (Baguwa Khola) was washed away due to flooding triggered by rainfall.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyamu Aryal, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Makwanpur, the sudden surge in water flow swept away the humepipes used in the diversion, causing the blockage.

Efforts are currently underway to repair the diversion and reopen the road, he added.
