PM to present economic report in National Assembly today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the National Assembly under the Federal Parliament is scheduled to take place today at 1:15 pm at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

During the meeting, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is expected to present the Government of Nepal’s Economic Report for the fiscal year 2023–24 in accordance with Article 53 of the Constitution of Nepal.

The session will also include a question-and-answer segment, where ministers from the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports will respond to oral queries raised by lawmakers.

Additionally, Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, will table the Motion Picture Bill, 2024 before the assembly.

Meanwhile, Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Ajaya Kumar Chaurasiya, will propose deliberation on the “Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts, 2023”, which has been received from the House of Representatives with a message.
