National Assembly meeting scheduled for today



KATHMANDU: The National Assembly under the Federal Parliament will meet today at 1:15 pm at the Parliament Building, New Baneshwor.

The meeting’s agenda includes oral responses from the concerned ministers related to the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, and the Ministry of Forest and Environment.

Additionally, the National Assembly Speaker will present the contents of a letter from the President’s Office regarding the certification of a bill.

Secretary of the National Assembly, Dr. Surendra Aryal, will also table a message received from the House of Representatives concerning the Bill to amend some Nepal Acts related to the promotion of good governance and public service delivery, 2024, and the Bill to amend some Nepal Acts related to cooperatives, 2024.

Moreover, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel will introduce a proposal to discuss and pass the Banking Offences and Punishments (Second Amendment) Bill, 2023. The proposal comes with a message from the House of Representatives along with the Legislative Management Committee’s report.
