Fog in Tarai, snowfall likely in high hilly region



KATHMANDU: The country is currently under the partial influence of western winds and a western low-pressure system.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, fog is present in certain areas of the Tarai.

The weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly regions, including Koshi Province, while the rest of the country will experience mostly clear skies.

This afternoon, the division forecasts partly cloudy conditions in the hilly areas, including Sudurpaschim Province, with clear skies in the remaining regions.

There is a possibility of light snowfall in a few places in the high hilly and mountainous areas.

At night, the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly regions, including Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Lumbini Provinces, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy conditions.

The Division has also warned of potential fog in parts of the Tarai in the morning, urging caution as it could impact daily activities, health, roads, and aviation.
