UML General Convention: Vote counting to start soon



KATHMANDU: The counting of votes for the new leadership of the CPN-UML is set to begin this morning, Election Commission Vice-Chairman Sanuraj Pokharel confirmed.

Out of 2,263 delegates at the UML General Convention, 2,227 cast their votes, while 36 delegates were absent, marking a 98.04 percent voter turnout in the party’s 11th General Convention. Some delegates were unable to attend due to health reasons, while others did not participate in voting.

KP Sharma Oli and Ishwor Pokharel are contesting as a panel in the leadership race.
