KP Sharma Oli says UML will pursue legal path against House dissolution



KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has stated that his party will adopt legal remedies and a peaceful struggle in response to the dissolution of the House of Representatives.

Addressing a meeting of UML members from the dissolved House, Oli said the party will seek the reinstatement of Parliament through a writ petition in the Supreme Court, aiming to provide a political resolution through constitutional means.

Vice-Chair Bishnu Paudel stressed on the critical role of UML in the nation’s future during times of political crisis. Meanwhile, General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel called for an impartial investigation into the events of September 8 and 9, underscoring the need for transparency and accountability.

The meeting is ongoing, with party leaders discussing the next steps for political action and the pursuit of Parliament’s reinstatement.
