NEPSE rises 15.70 points as all sectoral indices advance



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) closed on a high on Tuesday, gaining 15.70 points to settle at 2,566.07. The market saw a simultaneous rise in all sectoral indices, supported by an increase in overall trading activity.

Turnover improved to Rs 4.10 billion, up from Rs 3.94 billion recorded the previous day. A total of 207 listed companies posted price gains, while 44 declined and five remained unchanged.

All major sectors ended the day in positive territory. The banking index increased by 0.31 percent, while development banks rose by 1.25 percent.

Finance companies added 0.89 percent, hotels and tourism gained 1.28 percent, and the hydropower index climbed 0.93 percent. The investment subgroup rose 1.03 percent, life insurance advanced 0.46 percent, and manufacturing and processing increased by 0.20 percent.

Microfinance improved by 0.47 percent, non-life insurance gained 0.84 percent, the others subgroup rose 0.53 percent, and trading inched up by 0.09 percent.
