KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has released the official foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is fixed at NPR 140.21, while the selling rate is NPR 140.81.
Similarly, the buying rate for one Euro is NPR 166.01 and the selling rate is NPR 166.72. The UK Pound Sterling is being bought at NPR 191.27 and sold at NPR 192.09, while the Swiss Franc’s buying and selling rates are NPR 178.25 and NPR 179.01 respectively.
For other major currencies, the Australian Dollar is being bought at NPR 93.58 and sold at NPR 93.98. The Canadian Dollar is trading at NPR 101.96 for buying and NPR 102.40 for selling. The Singapore Dollar has a buying rate of NPR 109.85 and a selling rate of NPR 110.32.
Among Asian currencies, 10 Japanese Yen are being bought for NPR 9.59 and sold for NPR 9.63. One Chinese Yuan is priced at NPR 19.74 for buying and NPR 19.82 for selling. The Saudi Arabian Riyal is being bought at NPR 37.37 and sold at NPR 37.53, while the Qatari Riyal is valued at NPR 38.47 for buying and NPR 38.63 for selling.
Likewise, the central bank has also set the buying and selling rates for other regional currencies. One Thai Baht is being exchanged at NPR 4.42 and NPR 4.44 respectively. The UAE Dirham has a buying rate of NPR 38.17 and a selling rate of NPR 38.34.
The Malaysian Ringgit is priced at NPR 33.47 for buying and NPR 33.62 for selling. One hundred South Korean Won are being bought for NPR 10.18 and sold for NPR 10.22.
The Swedish Kronor is being bought at NPR 15.14 and sold at NPR 15.21, while the Danish Kronor is priced at NPR 22.24 for buying and NPR 22.34 for selling.
According to the Nepal Rastra Bank, the buying rate for one Hong Kong Dollar is NPR 18.03 and the selling rate is NPR 18.11. The Kuwaiti Dinar is priced at NPR 459.74 for buying and NPR 461.70 for selling.
The Bahraini Dinar has a buying rate of NPR 371.83 and a selling rate of NPR 373.42, while the Omani Rial is being bought at NPR 364.16 and sold at NPR 365.72.
Additionally, the buying rate for one hundred Indian Rupees is set at NPR 160.00 and the selling rate at NPR 160.15. The Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these rates are subject to revision based on market conditions.
It also noted that commercial banks may set slightly different rates, and the most up-to-date figures are available on the central bank’s official website.
