Top End T20 Series: Nepal to face Melbourne Stars today



KATHMANDU: Nepal is set to play its third match in the ongoing Top End T20 Series in Australia’s Northern Territory today (Monday).

The match will take place against the Melbourne Stars franchise at the TIO Stadium in Darwin, with kickoff scheduled for 7:15 AM Nepali time.

The Nepali side is captained by Rohit Poudel, while the Melbourne Stars will be led by Big Bash League player Sam Harper.

So far, Nepal has struggled in the tournament, having lost both of its matches. The team suffered a 42-run defeat to Northern Territory Strike in the opener, followed by a 32-run loss to Bangladesh ‘A’ in the second match.

Melbourne Stars have had a mixed start, winning one and losing one. They were narrowly defeated by Melbourne Renegades by 4 runs in their first match but bounced back with a win over Hobart Hurricanes in the second.

Nepal now faces pressure to secure a victory to stay competitive in the series. Meanwhile, Melbourne Stars will look to beat Nepal and climb to the top of the standings.
