Grade 12 exams to proceed despite ongoing teachers’ protest

KATHMANDU: The National Examination Board (NEB) has confirmed that Grade 12 examinations will go ahead as scheduled, despite the ongoing protest by teachers across the country.

In a notice issued on Wednesday, the board urged students to continue preparing for their exams and called on parents and other stakeholders for coordination and support.

The NEB also appealed to the Nepal Teachers’ Federation and all educators to prioritize students’ futures and fulfill their professional responsibilities by participating in the management and evaluation processes of the exams.

“The board sincerely requests the Nepal Teachers’ Federation, school principals, and the teaching community to participate responsibly in the management and evaluation of the Grade 12 examinations, while upholding their professional rights, security, and their students’ future as a priority,” the statement read.
