Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the foreign exchange rates for today (Friday), showing a decline in the value of major foreign currencies including the US dollar, euro, pound, Australian dollar, and Kuwaiti dinar.

The US dollar has continued its downward trend. Today, the buying rate of 1 US dollar is NPR 136.30, while the selling rate is NPR 136.39. Yesterday, the buying rate was NPR 136.79 and the selling rate was NPR 137.39. The highest recorded rate in recent months was on Magh 25, when the buying rate reached NPR 139.83 and the selling rate hit NPR 140.43.

Similarly, the euro is being traded today at NPR 154.93 for buying and NPR 155.61 for selling. Yesterday, the rates were NPR 155.51 for buying and NPR 156.19 for selling. The pound is trading at NPR 180.40 for buying and NPR 181.19 for selling today, compared to yesterday’s NPR 181.56 and NPR 182.36 respectively.

The Australian dollar is being exchanged at NPR 86.72 for buying and NPR 87.10 for selling. Yesterday, the rates were NPR 87.20 and NPR 87.58 respectively. The Kuwaiti dinar stands at NPR 444.58 for buying and NPR 446.54 for selling today, down from yesterday’s NPR 446.24 and NPR 448.20.

Likewise, the Bahraini dinar is being traded at NPR 361.60 for buying and NPR 363.19 for selling, compared to NPR 362.87 and NPR 364.46 yesterday.
