RPP Nepal holding central working committee meeting today

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Nepal’s central working committee meeting is being held today at the party’s central office in Sifal. The meeting, scheduled for 1:30 pm, will discuss the latest political developments, according to General Secretary Rajaram Bartaula.

The meeting will primarily focus on the formation of the Joint People’s Movement Committee for the Restoration of the Monarchy, which was formed during a gathering held yesterday.

Notably, RPP Chairman Kamal Thapa has raised objections to his inclusion in the committee without prior notice. The meeting is expected to deliberate on whether to endorse the formation of the committee or not.

The Joint People’s Movement Committee was formed during a gathering at a Dilli Bazaar restaurant on Monday.

Prominent leaders, including Durga Prasai, Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani, Rabindra Mishra, Rama Singh, Asmita Bhandari, Pashupati Shumsher Jabra, Keshar Bahadur Bista, Hari Bahadur Basnet, Rajendra Lingden, and Kamal Thapa, have been appointed as members of the committee.

The RPP’s central working committee meeting is expected to provide clarity on the party’s stance regarding the monarchy restoration movement and the inclusion of senior leaders in the newly formed committee.
