37 households receive monetary assistance in Lumbini Province

BANKE: A total of 37 households in the district, affected by both human and physical losses caused by wild animals, have been provided with monetary relief.

The assistance was distributed by the Lumbini Province government to households from one municipality and three rural municipalities.

Raptisonari rural municipality has 33 families to receive the assistance, while Khajura and Baijaath rural municipalities one each and Kohalpur municipality two, according to Division Forest Office.

Senior forest division officer Shankar Prasad Gupta informed that the assistance was provided for the loss of human and domestic animals occurred in the last two years.

Total 1.9 million compensation and relief amount was provided by the Division Forest Office.

Of this, Rs 1 million was provided for a human loss and Rs 900 thousand for the loss of domestic animals.
