PM Sushila Karki holds farewell meeting with Chinese Ambassador Chen Song



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki held a courtesy farewell meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song on Wednesday.

According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Ambassador Song, who is completing his tenure and preparing to return to his home country, paid a farewell call on the Prime Minister at Singha Durbar.

During the meeting, the two discussed various aspects of Nepal–China relations and matters of mutual interest. On the occasion, Ambassador Song said China, as a close friend of Nepal, has been extending support in all areas of Nepal’s development and would continue to do so in the future.

Prime Minister Karki congratulated Ambassador Song on the successful completion of his tenure and wished him a pleasant journey back home. She reaffirmed Nepal’s commitment to the One-China policy and assured that Nepal’s territory would not be used for any activities against China’s national interests.

The Prime Minister also expressed hope for continued cooperation, support, and assistance from China in Nepal’s development efforts, as in the past.
