NCP to hold unity assemblies from provincial capitals to local levels



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Communist Party (NCP), formed on November 5 through the unification of 12 parties, has announced a series of unity assemblies across all provinces.

The party made the schedule public on Monday, stating that the campaign aims to deliver a unified message nationwide following the formation of the new party.

According to the NCP, provincial-level unity assemblies will begin on November 28 in Sudurpaschim Province with a major gathering in Dhangadhi.

Lumbini Province will host its assembly in Dang-Deukhuri on November 29, followed by Gandaki Province’s assembly in Pokhara on November 30.

Similarly, Koshi Province will hold its event in Biratnagar on December 1. The Special Kathmandu Valley Province assembly is scheduled for December 3, Karnali Province will organize its program in Surkhet on December 4, and the Federal Coordination Province (Kathmandu) will hold its event on December 5. Madhesh Province’s assembly is set for Janakpur on December 6.

A joint virtual event for diaspora provinces will take place on December 7, while Bagmati Province will conduct its assembly in Hetauda on December 9.

The party has also directed all district committees to conduct unity assemblies by December 12 as per the decisions of respective provincial offices.

All municipalities across the country will host unity assemblies on December 15. Local-level offices will be responsible for organizing and managing the events.
