NEPSE rises by 9.78 points as turnover reaches Rs 3.94 billion

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index inched up by 9.78 points on Monday, closing at 2,550.36 points, backed by a turnover of Rs 3.94 billion.

According to NEPSE, 167 companies recorded an increase in share prices, while 76 declined. Share prices of 13 companies remained unchanged.

Most sub-indices closed in the green, with market sentiment showing mild improvement. Only the non-life insurance and others subgroups ended lower.

Market analysts said today’s modest rise came after several days of volatility, though overall trading remained cautious as investors continue to assess liquidity conditions and policy signals from regulators and banks.
