KATHMANDU: Voter registration for the upcoming March 5, 2026, election has shown an encouraging trend, following the introduction of National ID-based registration alongside the biometric system.
The Election Commission reported that over 300,000 voters have registered through the biometric system so far, while registrations using the National ID have reached 225,000.
For those who missed registration via the biometric system, the commission has extended the deadline to November 21.
