KATHMANDU: Senior Vice Chair Abdul Khan and several other leaders of the Janamat Party have demanded the resignation of party chair Dr. CK Raut.
In a letter addressed to Raut, the leaders called on him to step down within 24 hours. They cited weak leadership, lack of transparency in decision-making, and activities that they say are disconnected from public sentiment, arguing that the party has failed to advance according to its core objectives and principles.
The letter stated that leadership change is “essential for the overall interest of the party, restoration of political credibility, and regaining public trust.”
Those demanding his resignation include Senior Vice Chair Abdul Khan, central spokesperson Dr. Sharad Singh Yadav, Janamat Youth Union central chair Sanjay Kumar Yadav, Janamat Health Workers Union coordinator CK Singh, Far-Western Province in-charge Rajaram Chaudhary, and central member Bikram Bahadur Bam.
