Narayangadh–Muglin road reopens after landslide clearance

CHITWAN: Traffic along the Narayangadh–Muglin road section has resumed after being blocked by multiple landslides on Tuesday night.

According to the District Traffic Police Office, debris from landslides at Ghoptebhir (Ward 4), Tuinkhola (Ward 5), and Namsikhola (Ward 6) of Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality had obstructed the vital highway.

Police Inspector Gayatri Sharma, chief of the District Traffic Police Office, confirmed that the road was cleared and opened for vehicles at 9:10 am Wednesday.

Efforts to remove the debris began early morning at 6:00 am, with three excavators mobilized to clear the road. Once the landslide material was removed, stranded vehicles were able to continue toward their destinations.
