Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed today’s foreign exchange rates: one US dollar is to be bought at Rs. 140.59 and sold at Rs. 141.19.

Likewise, the euro is being bought at Rs. 165.94 and sold at Rs. 166.65, while one pound sterling has a buying rate of Rs. 191.67 and a selling rate of Rs. 192.48. The Swiss franc is quoted at Rs. 177.67 for buying and Rs. 178.43 for selling.

The Australian dollar’s rates are Rs. 93.75 (buying) and Rs. 94.15 (selling); for the Canadian dollar they are Rs. 102.17 and Rs. 102.61, respectively. The Singapore dollar is valued at Rs. 109.97 when bought and Rs. 110.44 when sold.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs. 9.56 and the selling rate is Rs. 9.60. One Chinese yuan is Rs. 19.76 to buy and Rs. 19.84 to sell. For the Saudi Arabian riyal, the rates are Rs. 37.48 (buying) and Rs. 37.64 (selling); for the Qatari riyal, Rs. 38.57 and Rs. 38.73.

As per the central bank, one Thai baht can be bought at Rs. 4.43 and sold at Rs. 4.45; one UAE dirham at Rs. 38.28 and Rs. 38.44; one Malaysian ringgit at Rs. 33.43 and Rs. 33.58.

The rate for 100 South Korean won is Rs. 10.17 (buying) and Rs. 10.21 (selling). One Swedish krona is Rs. 15.18 to buy and Rs. 15.25 to sell; one Danish krona is Rs. 22.23 and Rs. 22.32, respectively.

The rate for one Hong Kong dollar is Rs. 18.07 (buying) and Rs. 18.14 (selling); one Kuwaiti dinar is Rs. 460.68 and Rs. 462.64; one Bahraini dinar is Rs. 372.90 and Rs. 374.49; one Omani rial is Rs. 365.15 and Rs. 366.71.

For 100 Indian rupees the buying rate has been fixed at Rs. 160.00 and the selling rate at Rs. 160.15. The central bank noted that these rates may be revised anytime as needed, and commercial banks’ rates may differ. The latest rates are available on the bank’s website.
