Nepali peacekeepers return from UN mission in Abyei



KATHMANDU: The third contingent of Nepali peacekeepers deployed under the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) has returned home.

According to the Directorate of Public Relations and Information of the Nepali Army, 67 peacekeepers led by Lieutenant Colonel Bhola Kumar Karki arrived in Nepal on Monday.

Earlier the same day, a fourth group of 77 peacekeepers, led by Major General Gyankaji Shrestha, was deployed to replace the returning team.

Currently, a total of 107 Nepali peacekeepers are serving in the UN mission.
