Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the foreign currency exchange rates for today (Tuesday), showing a mixed trend across major currencies.

The value of the US dollar and Bahraini dinar has slightly decreased, while most other currencies, including the Australian dollar, Kuwaiti dinar, euro, and British pound, have appreciated.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar today is Rs 137.41 and the selling rate is Rs 138.01. This is slightly lower than yesterday’s rates of Rs 137.44 for buying and Rs 138.04 for selling.

Similarly, the buying rate of one euro has increased to Rs 159.09, with a selling rate of Rs 159.79. Yesterday, the rates were Rs 158.78 and Rs 159.47, respectively.

The pound has also edged up, with today’s buying rate at Rs 186.66 and selling rate at Rs 187.48, compared to Rs 186.44 and Rs 187.26 the previous day.

The Australian dollar is also stronger, with the buying rate at Rs 89.58 and the selling rate at Rs 89.98, up from Rs 89.17 and Rs 89.56 yesterday.

The Kuwaiti dinar has seen a slight rise, with today’s buying rate at Rs 449.27 and selling rate at Rs 451.23, compared to Rs 449.15 and Rs 451.11 the day before.

Meanwhile, the Bahraini dinar has dipped slightly, with the buying rate at Rs 364.35 and the selling rate at Rs 365.94, down from yesterday’s Rs 364.47 and Rs 366.06.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that the exchange rates are subject to change and may be revised as necessary. It has also clarified that the rates offered by commercial banks may vary, and the latest official rates can be found on the central bank’s website.
