UML discusses countering monarchist activities, could launch public awareness campaign

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML Secretariat meeting has concluded on Monday, with discussions focusing on countering the growing activities of monarchist forces.

Speaking at a press conference after the meeting, UML Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali hinted that if monarchist groups intensified their street protests, UML could launch a public awareness campaign in response.

“We have discussed the need to awaken the people if necessary. More details will emerge over time,” Gyawali stated.

However, he clarified that no immediate decision had been made, and further discussions would take place.
