Westerly low-pressure system influencing Nepal’s weather



KATHMANDU: A westerly low-pressure system combined with local winds is currently influencing the weather across the country.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions, with the rest of the country experiencing partly cloudy skies.

Light rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is likely at a few places in the hilly regions, including parts of Sudurpashchim and Karnali provinces.

Light snowfall is also expected in the high hilly and mountainous regions, with some areas of these regions in the two provinces seeing occasional snowfall.

Due to the potential for storms in certain areas of Koshi and Madhes provinces, the Division has urged the public to take safety precautions.
