Gold price rises in Nepal despite drop in international market

KATHMANDU: The price of gold in Nepal increased on Friday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, the price of gold rose by Rs 1,300 per tola.

Gold, which was traded at Rs 156,600 per tola on Thursday, is now being sold at Rs 157,900 per tola.

Similarly, the price of silver also saw an increase, rising by Rs 50 per tola. Silver is now being traded at Rs 1,880 per tola in the local market.

In contrast, the international market reported a decrease in gold prices.

The price of gold stands at USD 2,714.98 per ounce in the global market today.
